Intro and Prayer: What happens to life when we give up on living? Have you ever taken your hands off of something and it did not fall apart? Lots of people believe control over everything is their number one reason from getting up in the morning. What would you do if you suddenly realized that the only thing that God wants humanity, which includes all people, to do is to love ourselves and our neighbors? Consider looking at your life through the lens that God sees you through and think about how you serve others, what you can do in your community, church, school and home that would make life better for others. As you keep these questions before you, take a moment to hear God’s Word for us today through Psalm 91 and Luke 16: 19-31 and I Timothy 6 from the Bible Experience. This is the Word of God…let us pray.
Gracious Lord, you made today and we are blessed by your creation at all times. Lord, you continue to blanket us with your love, grace, mercy and forgiveness as we repent unto you for sins that we committed by thought, word and deed. Thank you for forgiving us and keeping us dear Lord in your perfect peace as you renew and restore our lives after the storms of past and present. Keep us wrapped in your loving arms so that we may be protected and strengthened through the tests and trials, which we experience in our daily lives. Grant us everlasting life and continuous grace to sustain us forever. Turn our sadness into joy, our hurts into happiness and sustain us to glorify your name. Cover us time and time again with your grace, love, mercy and forgiveness. Hear our prayer Lord, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
