Intro and Prayer: Have you thought about someone and suddenly you felt like praying for them? Did you pray or let it go? Sometimes a feeling that won’t go away will linger on and on until you feel compelled to take an action. Those are part of our human wiring. We feel, we smell, we experience and we seek. God is always offering us opportunities to feel, smell, see, experience and goodness of all that has been created. In these moments of connection to living for Jesus Christ, I wonder are we praying before acting upon those moments. Sometimes when we get “gut-level” honest, we realize that our actions sometimes gets moving before we have offered prayer unto the Lord. The reflection this morning is titled “Where is the 2 for 1 plan” and it will offer moments to think about how Jesus encourages prayer to become our first course of action about everything. Take a moment to hear God’s Word for us today through I Timothy 2: 1-7 and Luke 16 from the Bible Experience. This is the Word of God…let us pray.
Gracious Lord, you made today and we are blessed by your creation. Lord, you covered us with your love and we thank you. Thank you keeping us dear Lord in your perfect peace as you renew and restore our lives after the storms of past and present. Keep us wrapped in your loving arms so that we may be protected and strengthened through the challenges we experience in our daily lives. Turn our sadness into joy, our hurts into happiness and sustain us to glorify your name. Cover us time and time again with your grace, love, mercy and forgiveness. Hear our prayer Lord, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
