Today’s Message: Faith: A Common Life Thread
Habakkuk 1:1-4; 2:1-4, Psalm 119:137-144, 2 Thessalonians 1:1-4, 11-12, Luke 19:1-10
Intro and Prayer: What does faith do for our lives? That is a question we tend to ask ourselves silently but rarely ask out loud. If the Lord asked you to show faith today, what would you do? Would you write a plan down and hide it under the bed? Hopefully that would not be your preferred action. I would encourage each of us to think about the strength our faith offers us as we walk in Holy Boldness to be more than just words on paper. Today’s reflection is called, “Faith: The Common Life Thread” and it will call us into action regarding the plans of peace and justice. Let us focus on meditating on taking action as we hear God’s Word for us today through Habakkuk 1: 1-4, 2: 1-4, Psalm 119: 137-144, 2 Thessalonians 1: 1-4, 11-12 and Luke 19 from the Bible Experience. This is the Word of God…let us pray.
Gracious Lord, thank you for being The Waymaker. Thank you for being the one who is the object of our faith. Search our hearts, minds, souls and bodies to remove old pain, old hurt, injustice and bitterness. When you find it cause us to confess the sin that has allowed us to keep it and replace it with peaceful humility that is grounded by your love, grace and mercy. We know that only your healing power will restore our lives. As you grant us newness, thank you for breathing love into our hearts, granting us peace of mind, clarity of thought, and a spirit of joyful obedience as we become doers of your word. Grant us great faith and deliverance as we rise from our knees to offer you praise for everlasting hope. May we be filled with the Holy Spirit as we walk in deliverance daily from this moment; in the name of Jesus we pray…Amen. |
