Today’s Message: Thanks Jesus!
2 Kings 5: 1-3, 7-15, Psalm 111 and Luke 17: 11-19
Intro and Prayer: Have you ever done a good deed? What happened? Did it go unnoticed or did the person offer a gift of their gratitude? Maybe a surprise note came in the mail or a big hug came out of no where. What if the person went on with their life and never said a word? Are you hurt? Have you held on to a feeling of disappointment? I hope that this reflection of gratitude will speak to the heart of giving thanks to Jesus for just being our Savior. As you meditate about these questions before you, take a moment to hear God’s Word for us today through 2 Kings 5: 1-3, 7-15, and Psalm 111 and Luke 17: 11-19 from the Bible Experience. This is the Word of God…let us pray.
Gracious Lord, thank you for just being God and freely offering us grace this day. Lord, I want to take this moment to just thank you for loving us through and through. Search our hearts, minds and bodies. Remove the sin through a forgiving spirit and your saving grace. We know that only your healing power has saved and kept us to see this day. As you call us into action through love of God, self and neighbor, please grant us peace of mind, clarity of thought, and a spirit of joyful obedience, so that our desire to obey you will increase. Grant us great faith as we turn to our knees to offer you praise and thanksgiving. May we be filled with the Holy Spirit as we walk in newness from this moment into eternity. In Jesus’ name we pray…Amen.
