Message: “Encouraging Faith on New Years Day |
Prayer: Gracious Father we come to you this morning saying thank you for sending us a Savior, who died that we have life abundantly. All the presents have been opened and without a doubt your gift of mercy, love and grace is truly priceless. On this day we ask for a special blessing for families who are sharing moments of sadness, but Lord show us the Messiah's love through this message anyhow. Help me to call upon you for guidance; call upon Jesus Christ for his undying love and call upon the Holy Spirit for wisdom. Move me behind the cross and allow only your words for your people to come forth. Cover us with your Spirit and open our ears so that we might receive your Holy Word. Gracious Lord, nurture us through your Word, teach us to accept the freedom, release us from fear and unforgiveness so that we may receive your Power. O' Lord, let us know that your love is enough. Your name is enough to sustain us, help us to call upon you for everything. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Reflection: What a blessed day it is in the Lord! It's good to praise the Lord on this Sunday after Christmas! Families have experienced fun, faith and lots of love together. Even if you had a few moments of friction, it's still a day of great blessings! Lift up your hands and ask yourself, "do you know you are blessed?" Now think about the upcoming year and ask yourself another question, "are you ready to make a Godly move?"
