Who needs the love of Jesus Christ?
Everybody needs to love of Jesus Christ. With the need for love being so great, seeking grace and love on a daily basis is natural.
Jesus Christ offers saving grace freely to all.
How will these new communities of faith be different?
These new communities of faith will differ based upon the vision shared with the planter from Jesus Christ, community needs, the gifts of the planter / launch team and the developmental model. Each community of faith has the support of the United Methodist Church to make disciples for Jesus Christ in new ways.
What is a church planter?
The church planter is the visionary pastor, who has prayed and discerned a special calling. This calling from Jesus Christ to plant, grow and launch a new faith community is a gift. Through prayers, support and humble community building, the church planter invites many to see the vision that God has set forth. As persons decide to accept the challenge of growing from few to many, the church planter embodies an evangelistic spirit of inviting, teaching, praying, guiding, encouraging, directing, preaching and discerning how the team will become a new body of Christ.
What is a launch team?
The launch team is the body of believers that will hear the call from Jesus Christ through the church planter to gather for the purpose of making disciples in a new way at a new location. The launch team will use their gifts, graces and resources coupled with the visionary direction from the church planter to move the new faith community into a real body serving the people who need the love of Jesus Christ today.
